REIGNING Business House Netball Senior ‘A’ champions and defending champions Scotiabank ‘A’ and Senior ‘B’ winners Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) will be among 16 teams from Jamaica which will be participating in the 2015 Florida Netball Classic International Tournament, slated for Saturday and Sunday at Coral Springs Gymnasium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Intermediate ‘A’ league winners National Commercial Bank (NCB) will also be making the trip this year. The two-day event has hosted up to 50 teams from countries such as Jamaica, Canada, Antigua, The Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago, Cayman Islands, Australia, New Zealand and England.

Rollington Town All Stars, Caricom Netball Team of Florida, JUTC and Appliance Traders Limited are expected to give defending champions Scotiabank their sternest test this year. The Rollington Town All Stars team was beaten in the 2014 final, and they will consist of the Ffrench sisters — Nadine, Sade and Jodi-Ann Ffrench-Kentish — who are all former Sunshine Girls, as well as Camille Henry. The Caricom team will include former Sunshine girl Karla Williams Borrego and Measha Brown.

Last year’s Consolation winners Flow (formerly Lime) and Mixed winners ICD will return to defend their titles. The star studded Scotiabank ‘A’ team will have in their line-up former Sunshine Girls’ captain Naudia Brown, along with Marsha Murphy-Dawkins, Sateva Taylor-Barnes, Kameika Sherwood, Patricia McCalla and former captain Malysha Kelly.
