FRASER, Fontaine and Kong (FFK) recently introduced its Health First Premier Club Card, a health care card allowing preferred pricing to all clients whose health insurance programmes they manage.

This value-added programme is said to be the first of its kind in the industry, as it gives companies and their employees the opportunity to benefit from a specially selected Preferred Provider Network (PPN).

According to a news release from FFK, the Health First Premeir Club Card can be used at more than 150 health-provider locations islandwide that have signed on to the programme to provide services at a discount to holders of the FFK card. Price reductions for card users range from 10 per cent to 30 per cent from participating providers including doctors, clinics, dentists, diagnostic labs, hospitals, pharmacies, vision care specialists, gyms/spas, and chiropractors.

According to FFK, the card complements any existing insurance programme, regardless of whether the insurer is Sagicor or Medecus, and it will be swiped first followed by the Sagicor or Medecus card. Post swipe, the FFK card activates and the preferred pricing gets applied to the medical bill, which in turn reduces both the insurance portion as well as the out-of-pocket component paid by an employee.

FFK said by ussing the Preferred Provider Network, the member immediately sees a reduction on their bill at the point of purchase and the employer will have access to real-time reports detailing the savings.

The card will be given free of cost, once the company purchases Group Health Insurance benefits through FFK.
