Business networking event to be held in Montego Bay
Following the successful staging of The Destination Experience (TDE) at the Golden Eye Resort in St Mary last September, the second staging of the two-day event will be hosted in Montego Bay starting January 14.
TDE – through its platform of curated, social-discovery experiences – connects business luminaries to a dynamic network of people, ideas and opportunities. The objective is to catalyse wealth-creation opportunities for the island starting with its business elite, with the expectation that a multiplier effect in the long-term will benefit the entire island.
The event is aimed at reconnecting Jamaica and the Caribbean with their global counterparts, ensuring that the islands have access to a thriving investment and entrepreneurship ecosystem made up of diverse parts, including international investors, global market influencers and the media.
TDE 2016 is partnering with business titans Arthur Wylie & Michael Rollins (of Rose Hall Development Ltd – largest landowners in the Caribbean) to continue to catalyse and support more international business and socially impactful initiatives for Jamaica and the Caribbean.
The series of events includes a ‘Billion-Dollar Round Table’ brunch, the reopening of the legendary Sugar Mill Restaurant at Half Moon after almost nine months of renovation, a Marley-family private concert featuring Skip Marley, as well as a guided tour of the Rose Hall Great House.
