KC student wins Scotiabank VIP experience to Shaggy & Friends
It was an animated Oshnel Bryan that suavely stepped out of the chauffeured Mercedes Benz when he arrived at the Shaggy and Friends Benefit last Saturday. He was absolutely elated, arriving in style, having won the Scotiabank Shaggy and Friends VIP experience social media competition that invited contestants to share a vine video on why they should win tickets to the show.
Bryan is an 18 year old, fifth form Kingston College student who is very involved in advocating for rights of children. He is also an advisor to the Office of the Children’s Advocate. Through Scotiabank and Stewart’s Automotive respectively, he won two platinum tickets and chauffeured transportation.
According to him “I won in the last five minutes of the competition”. Upon realizing he had fallen behind in the voting competition, he pulled on his team who comprised colleagues from the National Secondary Student’s Council to bring his votes back up.
Bryan was one of three sets of ticket winners to receive tickets to the show. As the VIP winner he was feted by the Scotiabank staff in the Platinum section throughout the show, including getting access to the Scotiabank bar.
