Reynolds encouraged by Humble Lion’s RSPL performances
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Vassel Reynolds, the technical director of Humble Lion FC, is satisfied with the fourth-placed position held by his team in the Red Stripe Premier League, though he argued that the Clarendon-based outfit could have been even better off.
After 19 games, Humble Lion, who have failed to win any of their last four games, have 29 points.
“I still feel we are in a good position, but based on our target we are still five or six points behind where we wanted to be at this stage,” Reynolds told OBSERVER ONLINE during Thursday’s RSPL press conference at Red Stripe’s base on Spanish Town Road.
Humble Lion trail leaders Montego Bay United and Portmore United by eight points. Both those teams are on 37 points, but they are separated by the St James team’s superior goal difference.
Defending champions Arnett Gardens FC are third with 35 points.
Humble Lion’s next game is a home fixture against Cavalier SC on Sunday.
