HE is yet to make a major impact in Jamaica, but singjay Conkarah is making strides internationally.

A cover of Adele’sHello which he recorded with singer Rosie Delmah from the Solomon Islands, has gone viral and racked up over 12 million views on YouTube in less than two months.

His latest EP, Don’t Kill My Love, debuted this week at number seven on Billboard’s Reggae Album Chart.

The six-track EP was released late last year. It has songs produced by Jeremy Harding and Australian Tuff Tumas.

Since emerging on the music scene just over eight years ago, the 30-year-old Conkarah has released two mix-tapes —

Conkarah to the World (2014) and 2015’s Tell Dem. His first EP, Lovebwoy/Rudebwoy, was released in 2013.

Born Nicholas Murray to a Jamaican father and a British mother, Conkarah attended Mona Prep and St George’s College. He studied at York University in Toronto and the University of Charleston in West Virginia.

Donovan Germain produced his debut song, Rude Bwoy Love. However, it was Lifeline Music’s Niko Browne who produced his first commercially available single, Forever.

“I am a recording artiste who is seeking to introduce the world to reggae music through the fusion of different genres. I’m trying to appeal to a wider audience,” said Conkarah, who is currently touring Australia and the Pacific Islands.
