THE MONEAGUE COLLEGE
The Moneague College opened its doors in 1956 and has since continually responded to the educational needs of the nation by transforming itself from a teacher training institution to a multi-disciplinary college offering certificates, associates, bachelors and (joint) masters degrees. Through local, regional and international partnerships, the present range of programmes cut across traditional and emerging professional fields such as Education, Tourism and Hospitality, Environment, Technology and the Humanities (social work, psychology and criminal justice).
The college transformation includes the operation of three campuses strategically located in Linstead, St. Catherine; Port Maria, St. Mary and Moneague, St. Ann. All three campuses offer certain core programmes as well as those specific to the needs of the surrounding districts and communities. There is also a deliberate effort to recruit qualified, experienced, creative and forward thinking staff whose aim is to support the transformative work of the college.
As a residential facility, the Moneague College continues to attract students from across the island to its main campus in Moneague, St. Ann. Students who reside on campus enjoy the calm scenic study environment, vibrant college life, night access to the computer labs and the library. The boarding fee also covers utilities and internet services as well as two meals each day.
Applications for 2016 entry are open.
