Mr Bertus burns peaceful ‘Fyah’
MR Bertus’ latest single Burning Fyah, encourages love and unity. Produced by Dirtworx Entertainment, it also reaches out to the misled.
“The song is all about people in life and how you should treat others by showing them the wrong from right. The society of today is trying to mislead the future generation, so the fire is to put us back on the right track away from segregation. It’s all about one love and unity,” said the deejay.
Born Marlon Ainsworth, Mr Bertus is from Portmore, St Catherine. He made his recording debut while attending Bridgeport High, performing on various shows in St Catherine, including the Black Magic weekly event in Newlands. His first song was a cover of Chicago’s Hard to Say I’m Sorry, produced by Michael Steer.
“I live and breathe music. It’s in my DNA. Without music I’m in a lost world,” he said.
Influenced by Tyrone Taylor, Josey Wales, Grindsman and U-Roy, Mr Bertus’s songs include: Damage Eye, She Wants Me, Green Apple (featuring the Mighty Diamonds), Live Mi Life and Reckless Life.
