Cops find guns in ‘fowl coop’ and house
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two firearms were seized in separate incidents just hours apart in the Corporate Area on Friday.
In the first incident, which occurred about 3:10 pm at the intersection of Julian Drive and Waltham Lane, a team of officers on operation searched premises in the area and found an M-16 assault rifle in a house.
The police say no one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
Then about 6:40 pm, lawmen seized a Springfield .40 calibre pistol along with four .40 rounds on Mark Lane.
The police say the weapon was seen in a fowl coop.
Again, no arrests were made in that seizure.
The police say investigations are ongoing.
