Kinetic NRG at UTech
A massive crowd comprising college students came out to the Barn at the Students Activity Centre on the University of Technology’s (UTech) campus for the recent staging of Kinetic NRG.
Dubbed the Strictly Wet edition, Kinetic NRG was promoted by the UTech School of Engineering in association with J Wray & Nephew Limited. The event featured musical contributions from an array of disc jocks, including Fame FM’s Arif Cooper, DJ Spinn, Sunjock Nerro, DJ Skippey, and DJ Gogetta. Dancehall, reggae and soca offerings kept patrons on a musical high for the entire evening.
“It was a nice happy vibe. Very exciting and, of course, we had a massive crowd,” said Javed Smith, a representative of the Student’s Union Council.
The event is held annually to provide funds for a numnber of initiatives, including bursaries for students, gears for the sports department, cheerleading, and other campus activities.
