Starface to shine at BritJam
UP-AND-COMING dancehall artiste Starface is set to light up the stage at Brit-Jam 2016 in Montego Bay, St James.
The seven-day party series, which is aimed at bringing American, Canadian and British spring breakers to the island, is slated to begin on March 9.
Starface is scheduled to perform at the ‘Cook Out Pool Party’ at WesPow Park, on March 11.
“I am very excited about BritJam. It’s an event with good vibes, fun and free spirit, so I am happy they booked me for it. I can’t wait to unleash, and show the people what they didn’t get the chance to see at Sting. I feel like I owe it to my supporters, so I’ve already planned an exciting showcase, ” she said.
Starface (given name Nadesha Edwards) emerged on the entertainment radar after an expletive-laced set at Sting 2015 held at JamWorld Entertainment Complex in Portmore, St Catherine, on Boxing Day. The police eventually pulled the plug on her set signalling an end to the concert.
Her tracks include Hold My Man, Tek A Gal Man, Nah Left and Money Lotion.
Started in 2010, BritJam party series will also feature Blac Chyna, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Mavado, Gully Bop, I-Octane, Demarco, Aidonia, Tanto Blacks, Ky-Mani Marley, Sizzla and Jahmiel.
