PCL Update: Miller’s 7-wicket haul leaves Pride on 187-8 at lunch
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Spinner Nikita Miller almost single-handedly undermined Barbados Pride during the first session on day two of the WICB four-day match at Sabina Park as the visitors reached 187-8 at lunch in reply to Jamaica Scorpions’ mediocre first-innings score of 177.
The slow left-arm orthodox bowler, who grabbed three wickets on Friday’s opening day, extracted spin and bounce in overcast conditions this morning to enter the interval with figures of 7-51.
Pride Captain Kraigg Brathwaite, who was 66 not out when his side resumed from their overnight score of 103-3, failed to add another run as Miller had him stumped by wicketkeeper Chadwick Walton.
The not out batsmen for the Pride are Roston Chase, on 45, and Hayden Walsh, on nine.
Scores: Scorpions 177; Pride 186-8.
