Bunkers Hill, Kinloss register first wins in Trelawny football
DUANVALE, Trelawny — Bunkers Hill So Fresh and Kinloss FC both scored their first wins in the Monymusk Plantation Rums/Trelawny Football Association Major League on Saturday with 2-1 wins over Duanvale FC and Fire FC, respectively, in Zone One games.
All three games on Saturday finished with 2-1 scorelines as Harmony FC also beat Coopers Pen FC by the same margin in a Zone Two game. Kinloss FC moved to second place in Zone One on five points from three games, two points adrift of leaders Spicy Hill after goals from Fitzroy Robinson in the 15th minute and Girvent Dixon, who got the winner in the 81st minute.
Alton Manderson had equalised for Fire FC in the 41st minute. At Duanvale, Mitchelle Dempster scored in the 44th minute and Oshane Hunter in the 56th to give the visitors the lead, but Garfield Henlon gave Duanvale FC some hope with his 89th-minute goal.
At Coopers Pen, Harmony FC came back from a goal down to snatch their third win of the season.
Cecil Noble gave the home team the lead in the 30th minute, but Oshane Spence levelled in the 57th minute before Shaquille Reid scored the winner in the 71st minute.
Harmony FC are now level with leaders Rio Bueno FC, both on nine points, but have played one game more.
