Closure of Mandela Highway tomorrow night
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists that a section of Nelson Mandela Highway, will be closed tomorrow, Friday, March 18 at 10:00 pm until midnight, Sunday, March 20.
This closure is to facilitate pipe laying works for the connection of a sewage main and water pipe across the roadway, in the section between the Highway 2000 overpass and the Ferry Police Station.
The NWA said that vehicular traffic will be diverted onto newly constructed carriageways adjacent to the highway, so as to minimize disruption to traffic flow.
Motorists using the roadway during the period of closure are being advised to proceed with caution and to heed posted warning signs.
