Reid says GSAT day one went well
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Minister of Education, Information and Youth Ruel Reid says day one of the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT) ran smoothly across the more than 1,090 centres island wide.
“I have not got any adverse report,” Reid told OBSERVER ONLINE Thursday afternoon.
The minister, who acknowledged that he had not been formally briefed at the time, said “no overwhelming challenges were experienced” in any of the six regions.
This year 39,129 students were registered to sit the examination. Today papers for Mathematics and Social Studies were done.
