Hotel gives Runaway Bay Police Station facelift
ST ANN, Jamaica – Bahia Principe Jamaica Resorts carried out a work day at the Runaway Bay Police Station in St Ann last Thursday to improve the physical condition of the station.
The project included interior and exterior painting, electrical work, plumbing, floor stripping and buffing, as well as the donation of a new stove for the police station’s kitchen.
The hotel was assited by its contractors – Therrestra Construction and WICAN Supplies – to execute the initiative.
Chief of Security Dalton Davidson called the undertaking “an opportunity to pay our respect for the unwavering support from the officers at the station”.
While Social Relations Manager Farrah Blake said that the work day was “part of the hotel’s mission to assist in the development of the community within which we operate”.
She also praised the Runaway Bay police for playing a very important role in the Runaway Bay community.
Grand Bahia Principe, Jamaica was opened in 2007 by the Spanish investors Grupo Pinero. The hotel has recently been expanded to accommodate its luxury hotel, and renamed Bahia Principe Jamaica Resorts.
