Richie Stephens stepping ‘Internationally’
Internationally, an album by Richie Stephens and The Ska Nation Band out of Italy, is slated for release on April 15.
Stephens and the nine-member band met last year while performing on the Casalabate Festival in Italy. The Ska Nation Band are from the city of Salento, in the country’s southern region.
Foundation, Kingston Salento and Fire Fire are some of the songs from Internationally. The album comes one year after Stephens hit the market with Ska-Teck Ova, a concept driven by the song Everybody Dance.
“Ska music is far more loved and respected overseas than in my own country Jamaica,” says Richie Stephens. “The album follows a theme of ska and gives listeners an ability to dance as well,” Stephens is quoted in a release from publicists Destine Media.
