Digital Interactive Services signs Mayberry as financial advisor
Digital Interactive Services Limited (DISL) has retained the services of investment bank Mayberry Investments Ltd as the company’s lead financial advisor.
DISL is a privately owned Jamaican company founded by Chris Dehring and David Cassanova. Dehring will lead the operations as president and CEO.
The company has recently been granted an islandwide Special Subscriber Television Licence issued by the Broadcasting Corporation of Jamaica. This special licence will allow it to use both wired and wireless technology to deliver multiple television channels to its customers across Jamaica, according to a recent news release.
The focus of the company’s offering will be ReadyTV, which is a television service that will give Jamaicans the opportunity to experience a new way of accessing cable television with the aim of far-reaching affordability. ReadyTV will employ the very latest in digital technology to eventually offer over two hundred entertainment, informational and educational channels, according to the release.
CEO of Mayberry, Gary Peart, said “we are excited about the opportunity to work with yet another cutting-edge company poised to change the dynamics of its market. We look forward to another successful transaction and the opportunities this company will present to investors, customers and other stakeholders alike”.
Dehring, when speaking on the working relationship with Mayberry, said, “Mayberry is a company I’ve worked with for all my business life, and I have had a track record of success with them as far back as my days with Dehring, Bunting and Golding. It’s a company I trust and will always be looking to work with.”
DISL operates out of its New Kingston office and will look to launch islandwide service of ReadyTV in the first quarter of 2017.
