iPD Green bats for the poor
After establishing himself in the home improvement industry in the Washington DC/Maryland areas, Keith Green turned his attention to music three years ago and recorded the song Stop Depress the Poor.
The Jamaica College past student is known in music circles as iPD Green, and has recorded consistently since then.
“I am encouraged by the responses so far. A lot of people see me on the road and say that they like this and that. I know there is a lot more work to do and I am currently working on some new projects,” he said.
Some of his previous projects include the songs Energy, Lost My Lover and Hamma, all of which he co-produced with Fire Royal Records. Other tracks such as Stop the Killing, Jamaican Girls and Can’t Stop My Flow, are currently building his momentum.
“The EP (Hamma) will be out by summer. It will include seven tracks. It’s going to be a more conscious vibes with just three dancehall songs,” he said.
Though he started as a singer in church, iPD Green was strongly influenced in his youth by Capleton and Beres Hammond.
A carpenter by trade, he and his wife Diana started K&D Home Improvement seven years ago. They have expanded operations to Virginia.
iPD Green is currently pushing the title song from his upcoming EP.
