All of us owe our survival to our mother’s decision to carry us around in her little “baby sack” so safe and secure. For nine (9) months she spent her life putting our welfare before hers and though uncomfortable and tedious the ride may have been, she weathered the storm until the calm came finally.

Have you ever stopped and considered the uniqueness of the womb? Our mother’s womb acted as insulation against external agents such as light and sound. It also provided protection against shock and pressure. Simply put, where we spent the first and most important aspects of our lives was constructed in a way that it remained strong and stable for our early growth and development.

With Mother’s Day around the corner, to show our love and care for our mother certainly doesn’t hurt. Mother’s Day is a celebration honouring mothers and celebrating motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society.

You can also touch your mother’s heart with short and sweet sentimental poems you composed especially for her. Your mother will surely appreciate the sincere gesture and for sure, she will treasure your card forever.

If you are tight on the budget, you don’t need to buy expensive gifts. Just let your creativity show as mothers always appreciate handmade gifts. But if you can afford, why not treat your Mum to a day at the spa to relieve her stress or bring her to a fancy restaurant, or let her shop until she drops? After all, it’s her day and giving her these treats that come from the bottom of your heart is a good way of showing her how much you love her.

But even if it’s not Mother’s Day, just make your mama proud of having you as her child and every day will surely feel like Mother’s Day to her. Your success is also her success.
