YouTube Journeys: SORTEDfood
Move over food network and Gordon Ramsey, because these four guys are certainly giving you a run for your money. On this week’s YouTube Journeys we decided to take a delicious detour and visit a yummy YouTube page unlike any other. These four guys are combining fun and food in the most satisfying ways and it is our pleasure to introduce you to SORTEDfood.
The British YouTube channel currently boasts over 1.5 million well deserved subscribers and the number is growing every day! What makes this channel so different from any other YouTube cooking channel you ask? Take a seat at our table and we’ll tell you exactly why.
1) These guys aren’t ordinary chefs. In fact only one of the four is a qualified chef who more than knows his ways around the kitchen. The other three, Jamie, Barry and Mike, are his best friends who aren’t exactly the worst in the kitchen but certainly won’t be dubbed master chefs anytime soon. In the videos they can be seen assisting Ben (the actual chef) as he creates literal master pieces in the kitchen. Hilarity ensues as they try their very best to assist him while cracking jokes and making messes.
2) They almost never stick to the norm when it comes to making simple recipes. A huge cookie baked in a skillet, spaghetti and meat balls baked in bread and pull apart pizza are only a few of the simple recipes they’ve revamped. It’s never a bore with these guys around.
3) They don’t just stick to simply cooking on the kitchen. SORTEDfood is the home of multiple cooking series, staring these four lovable guys. From FridgeCam to Ultimate Battles and Mystery Box challenges, there’s always something there to keep you entertained.
4) They take fans’ ideas and tips into serious consideration. They ask for suggestions and actually use the comments in future videos, where they also thank the person or persons for their suggestions. A most recent example is where they asked viewers what messy food they would love to be able to eat in the car. They then proceeded to try and make the suggested foods as car friendly as possible.
5) They have a website that is not only home to the recipes they video, but also to recipes and dishes made by fans. SORTEDfood.com is an online community where users are able to share tips, tricks and delicious dishes from all over the world. From how to make oatmeal to how to make ice cream, they have it all. Go sign up to see what you can give or take! Your stomach will love you for it.
