Appleton Estate Jamaica rum scores big in international wines and spirits competitions
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Nassau Valley, St. Elizabeth produced Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum continues to make its mark on the international scene, as its blends recently received awards from both the 2016 Ultimate Beverage Challenge and the 2015 World Spirit Awards.
The Ultimate Beverage Challenge, via the Ultimate Spirits Challenge has awarded the Jamaican Appleton Estate Reserve Blend (AERB) with its Finalist and Great Value Awards. The Appleton Estate Reserve Blend also received commendations and has been described as extraordinary and the ultimate recommendation. The Appleton Estate Signature V/X Blend also received glowing recommendations from the Challenge as it was described as “very good and strongly recommended” while the Appleton Estate Rare Blend (12-Year-Old) was designated “excellent and highly recommended”.
For over 11 years the World Spirits Awards have been rewarding the best in the wines and spirits industry, with Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum blends placing prominently in their annual rankings. The 2015 World Spirits Award received for each blend were Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 Year Old – Double Gold, Appleton Estate Reserve Blend – Gold and Appleton Estate Signature V/X Blend – Gold.
