WITH summer a matter of days away, artistes and producers are clamouring for that song that will rock the clubs and dance hall.

One of those artistes is Konshens, who thinks he has a winner in Bruck Off Yuh Back, produced by Birchill Records.

The deejay has stepped up promotion for the single in New York City, where it has gained steady play on the Power 105 and Hot 97 radio stations.

“I think it is important to have a hit going into the summer. It sets the tone for how your career is gonna go for the rest of the year, plus its great to see how people react to your music in all the summer parties,” said Konshens, whose many hit songs include Gal A Bubble and Do Sum’n.

Last year, he had a guest slot on Dutch singer Eva Simons’ Policeman which was a solid summer hit throughout Europe.

The summer hit can launch or establish an artiste’s career. In the last 10 years, Tony Matterhorn’s Dutty Wine, Summertime by Vybz Kartel and Holiday by Ding Dong have ruled radio and clubs during the period.
