MONTEGO BAY, St James — Crab lovers are expected to turn out in their numbers for the popular MoBay Crab Festival to be held at Pier One this Saturday.

The event, now in its sixth year, is scheduled to kick off at 2:00 pm with a fun day for children featuring rides and bounce-abouts, as well as food purveyors providing crab prepared in various ways.

This is expected to be a major draw, as patrons can expect to savour brown stew, garlic, sweet ‘n sour and crab rundown.

“We are providing wholesome family entertainment and a space where families can come out and bond with each other over food and all-round family-focused entertainment,” explained Kareen Jennings, a member of Elite Conceptz and Solutionz, organisers of the event.

“We will also be having several food courts to cater to all preferences, as we understand that not all persons are seafood or for that matter crab lovers, but our main motive behind the event is to provide an event built on families enjoying quality time together.”

The event will shift gear in the evening when high-riding Reggae singjay Nesbeth, whose current hit ‘My Dream’ has been enjoying heavy rotation both locally and overseas, will take the stage.

Other artistes billed to perform include Jahmiel, whose hits includeGain the World, Where Were You andStruggles. Popular dancehall artiste Vanessa Bling is also expected to dominate the stage. Pretty Boy Floyd will be handling MC duties, while Vlogger Prince Pine, Montego Bay-based dancehall artiste Ricky Teetz and Wizard the Magician complete the night’s entertainment.

Music will be provided by self-styled Montego Bay’s finest DJ Crazy Neil, DJ Jigga from Linkz FM, DJ Ashile from Irie FM and popular party entertainer DJ Pinchaz.

Admission for the event is $800 pre-sold for adults and $500 for children. Tickets are available at Pier One in Montego Bay and Fontana Pharmacy locations in Montego Bay and Savanna-la-Mar.
