Meet the Guest Speaker
As part of the emphasis on this years theme for the JCC Awards, “Innovate, Integrate, Motivate – The Future of Business in the Digital Age”, the keynote address will be delivered by Dr Parris Lyew-Ayee Jr. the Director of the Mona GeoInformatics Institute at the University of the West Indies, which functions as the geographic information systems (GIS) hub of the Mona campus.
Dr. Lyew-Ayee is a US Eisenhower Fellow and a Senior Lecturer at the University in the Faculty of Science and Technology.
He is the Chairman of the Water Resources Authority and sits on several other boards, including the Main Board of Grace Kennedy Ltd, its Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee and Audit Committee, as well as a Director of GK Foods and Services Limited and Hi-Lo Food Stores.
He got his PhD in Geography from the University of Oxford, which he completed in 2 ½ years, at the age of 23. Since then, he has received several awards both locally and internationally for research and business developments.
