British citizen nabbed with cocaine in suitcase
ST JAMES, Jamaica – Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division arrested a British woman at the Sangster International Airport on Thursday, May 19.
She has been identified as 24-year-old Angeelina Hensley of an Oxford address in England.
Reports are that about 2:00 pm officers were conducting security checks in the departure hall on passengers checking in to board a flight destined for London. During the process, a black Pullman suitcase was searched and 16 cans — which aroused the cops’ suspicion — were found.
The cans were cut open and found to contain 17 packages wrapped in transparent plastic and latex material containing cocaine weighing approximately eight kilograms. The drug has an estimated street value of J$10 million, the police said.
Hensley is scheduled to appear before the Montego Bay Parish Court on Thursday, May 26.
