Memorial service held for slain US missionaries
BOSCOBEL, St Mary — A memorial service was held yesterday at the Boscobel United Church for two United States missionaries who were killed in Wentworth near Albion Mountain on Saturday, April 30.
Several persons turned out to pay their last respect to the two men who gave years of service to those in need. The body of Harold Nichols, 53, was found in bushes on Sunday, May 1, a day after that of Randy Hentzel, 48, was discovered near a motorcycle he was riding.
The murders were condemned by various sections of the society, as the two men had served selflessly in St Mary, building houses for many and providing financial assistance for others.
Yesterday, the men were remembered for their kindness and unwavering service to mankind.
The bodies of the missionaries have been returned to the United States where Randy Hentzel’s body was buried. The body of Harold Nichols will be cremated at a later date.
