McLean answers congregants
ENCOURAGED by his congregants, Bishop Courtney McLean is pleased with his contribution to the 10-track single
God Be The Glory gospel reggae album.
His debut effort is
Jesus is the Answer and features his wife, Nadine McLean.
“The idea came up and I was convinced by some of my church members to be part of the project,” said the senior pastor and founder of the St Catherine-based Worship and Faith International Fellowship (WAFIF) church. “I saw it as another way to do God’s work and reach out to the mass through this medium.”
Released in October 2015,
God Be The Glory is executively produced by WAFIF. It is available on iTunes or can be purchased at the church located on Old Harbour Road.
McLean — who has penned two books and has a radio programme on LOVE 101 — said he’s happy with the set’s reception as it touches on a wide cross-section of issues.
“Each song reflects a synergy of ideas that cover a wide range of topical areas that are relatable to each Christian believer. We are advancing the Kingdom of God through the proclamation of the potent Gospel of Jesus Christ,” McLean told the
Jamaica Observer.
The set boasts some established acts including Spanner Banner (
Glory to God) and Goddy Goddy (Bring The Money Come). Other acts are Gospel David (After All Is Said And Done); Mykal Malachi & Alicia Taylor (To God be the Glory); Mark Radical (My God Nuh Dead); Mikey D (Naah Give Up); Destiny Crew (God’s Army); and Kimola Brown-Lowe (Change Your Mind).
