TRN office reopens following recent tragedy
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising the public that the Taxpayer Registration Card Centre downtown, Kingston, will reopen for business tomorrow at 8:00 am.
The temporary one-week closure was as a result of the murder/suicide that took place at the office on Friday, July 15.
In a statement from the agency, TAJ said during the closure, steps were taken to assess the damage, undertake clean-up activities and improve the security arrangements to ensure the smooth restoration of operations at that location.
On-going counseling is being provided for staff, according to the TAJ.
