MBCC, Farm Heigths in 50-over clash
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Joint leaders Montego Bay Cricket Club (MBCC) and Farm Heights will clash on Sunday in a meeting of unbeaten teams in the penultimate round of the St James Cricket Association Heroy Clarke-sponsored 50 overs competition at Barnett Oval, starting at 10:00 am.
Both teams have won the previous two games, against Trelawny and Hanover, and the game will be a preview of the finals set to be played on August 21 also at Barnett Oval.
MBCC are coming off a five-wicket win over Hanover on Sunday, making 126 for five off 37.5 overs after bowling out Hanover for 122 off just 38.1 overs.
After being sent in to bat, Ace Wallace was the only Hanover batsman to get any meaningful score as Andrew Walker took four wickets for 24 runs to restrict them.
Omario Wright then made 49 for MBCC and Nickel Scott was unbeaten on 26 to lead the St James team to victory as Jovan Stora claimed three wickets for 46 runs.
