No medals to Digicel and Flow for Internet speed during Olympics

From as early as February 2016, a warning was issued to UK Internet users about predictable connectivity issues in London, by uSwitch (UK). Below is a quote from uSwitch about Internet speeds to be expected during the present Rio Olympics.
“In a study by price comparison website uSwitch, London was found to have the slowest speed of the UK’s 10 largest cities. The capital ranked a lowly 24th out of 30 cities tested, behind Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Leeds for average 3G speed. Based on consumer tests carried out using its 3G speed app, uSwitch says locals, businesses and tourists visiting London for the Olympics will have to make do with an average 3G mobile broadband download speed of just 2.71 megabits per second (Mbps). This is 24 per cent slower than Portsmouth, the fastest city in the UK. uSwitch warns that with the extra strain during the Olympics much of London’s 3G network could grind to a halt.

Neither Digicel, Flow, the Office of Utilities Regulation, nor the Ministry of Technology found it fit to warn paying customers that their system would just be creaking along pitifully or writhing in the dust at this time.
Darn it, Digicel and Flow are not doing us any favours by being here!
When many normal commercial services have to be abruptly suspended, or to severely restrict much of their Internet-dependent activities during these weeks of the Olympic Games, we have an egregious problem of commercial wickedness that Government needs to investigate and address. Who holds them accountable?
What do the terms 4G, 3G and 2G mean to Digicel and Flow?
Is there any greater farce than living in the sprint capital of planet Earth and yet being forced, 24/7, to subsist, be afraid and frightened in the Internet kraal ruled by “webbed” squamata serving as service providers in Jamaica?
