Man shot dead in alleged shoot-out with police
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man was shot dead in an alleged shoot-out with police officers in downtown Kingston today.
The police have not yet released his name.
OBSERVER ONLINE has learnt that the deceased, who was shot dead about 12:30 pm on Wellington Street in Denham Town, was an alleged “violence producer” in the area.
A firearm was also reportedly seized in the incident.
When contacted, the police’s Corporate Communications Unit confirmed the fatal shooting but said they could not provide details at this time.
