NWC to repair Marcus Garvey Drive sewer line on Sunday
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that they will be carrying out major repairs to a ruptured sewer pipeline along Marcus Garvey Drive on Sunday.
In a news release this afternoon, Wastewater Manager of NWC, Patrick Daley, said that the Darling Street Wastewater Plant will be shut down in order to facilitate the repairs.
Daley added that the break occurred earlier this week and the delays in effecting the repairs were due in part to the challenging nature of the work and the team having to properly coordinate the activities.
The NWC has assured customers that repairs are scheduled to be completed by late Monday, September 19.
