Man fatally shot in Hanover
HANOVER, Jamaica – The police are reporting that a fatal shooting occurred in Green Island, Hanover, earlier today, where a firearm was seized.
However, the police’s Corporate Communications Unit is yet to release the identity of the deceased, saying instead that investigators are still at the scene of the incident.
When contacted, Deputy Superintendent of Police Artel Colley, officer in charge of the Hanover Division, also said he was unable to provide information on the matter at this time.
OBSERVER ONLINE has learnt that the deceased was killed in an alleged shoot-out with police.
Sources have also told OBSERVER ONLINE that the deceased is suspected to have killed another man shortly before he was shot dead.
