Cornwall College ‘youngsters’ meet again after first contact 50 years ago
It was September 8, 1966 — 50 years ago that this group entered first form at Cornwall College. In commemoration of that memorable day, they decided to rekindle old acquaintances and reminisce on their time at “the school on the hill beside the sea”.
The group of over 20 came together from across Jamaica and even overseas, met for lunch at the Taurus Garden Chinese Restaurant in Sovereign North recently, and spent an afternoon revelling in the memories of their school days while committing continued support for each other and their alma mater.
The group included:
Errol Allen, Dr Vernon DaCosta, Donald Daley, Prof Hopeton Dunn, Junor Farquharson, Desmond Flowers, John Graham, Michael Harewood, Anthony Jackson, Bruce Kerr, Barry Martin, Michael Nicholson, Ralston Pessoa, Chester Richards, Rev Phillip Robinson, Earl Samuels, Eglon Stewart, Maxwell Taylor, Patrick Thompson and Michael Young.
