Portlanders respond to HUrricane Matthew
Portlanders are gearing up for the passage of Hurricane Matthew by securing their houses and other property, as well as cleaning drains. Livestock, the source of income for many in Portland, are also being brought to safe places.
The Emergency Operation Centre is in operation at the Port Antonio Fire Station, while 17 shelters are open, with over 250 Portlanders already deciding to make use of these shelters.
