The best natural juice in Portland
Juice vendor Johnny Natural has been making and selling authentic fruit juices for over 15 years and if his drive is anything to go by, he will be doing this for a long time to come.
“I think, I do the best juices,” the confident vendor said as he made his way around the Boston Jerk Centre in Portland last week.
“They are quality. When I distribute people are really impressed by the quality,” he added.
Johnny Natural, who sells popular Jamaican mixes such as beetroot and carrot, pineapple and ginger, fruit punch, grape, as well as sugarcane and ginger among other flavours, indicated that he has already been certified by the authorities.
“Right now, I operate in Boston Bay area of Portland but I am in the process of finishing my juice factory, so by early next year, I will be labelling and bottling.
“I have gone through the Bureau of Standards and they have inspected the juice factory in Black Rock here,” the 53-year-old Portlander said.
Natural, who buys produce at the local market, said on an average day he earns between $6,000 and $8,000.
“People love me products. Dem nuh love me like how dem love mi products and they endorse me because of that purpose and I have to give thanks for that.”
The juice man said he is able to survive off what he does and is “looking to make a life out of it”.
“The sky is the limit, so we don’t make any predictions for ourselves because I think I have paved the way after doing great work with my products,” he said.
“You name it, I sell it.”
