Cornwall Regional Hospital clears the air on burst pipe
ST JAMES, Jamaica — The management of the Cornwall Regional Hospital has sought to clear the air regarding a video circulating on both mainstream and social media, in relation to a burst pipe at the hospital.
According to a news release from the institution, just after 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon a pipe in the network that supplies clean water throughout the hospital burst in the reception area of the Accident & Emergency department on the ground floor.
The hospital said maintenance staff responded quickly and effected repairs, adding that by late afternoon normality had been restored in the department.
The hospital noted too that no one could have anticipated the mishap and said that, except for the temporary inconvenience, no damage was done.
Meanwhile, the hospital’s management rapped people for using the burst pipe accident, over which it said there was no control, to portray the hospital in a bad light.
