41 teams for JISA Prep Schools football
DEFENDING champions Mona, along with 40 other schools will participate in the 2016 Jamaica Independent Schools’ Association (JISA)/Tastee Alberga Cup Prep Schools football competition which is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
The other schools are divided into zones and regions, with winners and runners-up advancing to the second round. All the teams are expected to participate in the Henriques Knockout Competition.
Last year Mona won the Alberga Cup League final and the Henriques Cup Knockout final.
The schools and their respective zones are as follows:
ZONE One — Hillel Academy, Covenant Christian Academy, Alvernia Prep, Ardenne Prep, Liberty Academy, Hopefield Prep, Emmanuel Christian Academy, Eastern Pep.
ZONE Two – Lannaman’s Prep, Porter Centre, The Queen’s Prep, St Peter and Paul Prep, St Hugh’s Prep, King’s Way Prep, St Theresa Prep.
ZONE Three – Quest Prep, Wolmer’s Prep, Our Lady of the Angels, St Andrew Prep, Hagley Park Prep, Stella Morris Prep, Dunrobin Prep.
ZONE Four – defending champions Mona Prep, Mavisville Prep, Vaz Prep, American International School of Kingston, Richmond Park Prep, Praise Tabernacle Christian Academy, Trafalgar Prep.
REGION Four and Five – Belair School, Black River and New Horizon Prep.
REGION Six – Hydel Prep, Portmore Missionary, Solid Base Group of Schools, Foundation, Bright Beginnings, St Jago Pep, St Catherine Prep, Glenmuir Prep and Glowell Prep.
