Hottraxx – 19-year-old features on our local countdown

It’s that time of week again, and this time a surprise TEEN features as we count down the hottest local and international songs. If you haven’t heard of Shenseea yet, you’re missing out. She may be 19, but she’s already making some hit songs.1. Loodi – Vybz Kartel ft ShenseeaJiggle Jiggle. She is definitely one to watch. 2. Jiggle Likkle – Savage Savo Culu Culu on the Culu Culu riddim, which you may also know from Bruk Back by Razor B. 3. New Level – Popcaan 4. Likkle More – Vybz KartelLikkle More features Kartel and a love he will soon see… as soon as he’s out of traffic. Is there a metaphor here? Could one think of traffic as his prison sentence, with his fans awaiting his arrival ‘home’? 5. 12pm – Alkaline 6. Brawla – Mavado  1. Shout Out To My Ex – Little Mix 2. Trust Nobody – Cashmere Cat ft Selena Gomez and Tory LanezWild Love is this song. Tory Lanez and Cashmere cat are no strangers either, having previously ‘collabed’ on the hit LUV which topped charts everywhere. Trust Nobody is definitely worth the listen. 3. Don’t Wanna Know – Maroon 5 ft Kendrick Lamar4. We Can – Kranium ft Tory LanezNobody Nah Fi Know, teamed up with Canadian, Tory Lanez, in the summer to give us this hot song which has recently started to receive a lot of attention. It’s nice to see our local artistes making it internationally.5. Don’t Touch My Hair – Solange A Seat At The Table, which was released on the 30th of September, under Coloumbia Records. By the way, she doesn’t mean it literally. “Don’t touch my hair” is saying, allow me to be me and don’t pressure me into being someone I’m not, which is a very important message that I think we all need to hear6. Atlantis – Bridgit Mendler ft Kaiydo

Local

19-year-old Shenseea makes a  name for herself with this collab. She left ‘Ex Ed’ (Excelsior Community College) recently to pursue her music dreams. Another hot song from the talented youngster

He lowkey sounds like Alkaline… But the song bad still. Savo also brought us

Damn Poppy, back at again with the hits! Popcaan is just singing about how he’s on a whole ‘nother level. Poppy brags that he worked hard to get where he is: ‘never rich and switch even though him increase ya now’.

This one sounds like a love song.

If you really listen to the lyrics of this song, you’ll hear Alkaline sing about how he’s the boss and the top man, but he also sings about how he takes a second to see if what is around him is real. Alka is living good, especially now that he will be launching his own clothing line next year.

Brawla – Mavado

7. Good Man –  Vybz Kartel

8. Colouring This Life – Vybz Kartel

9. After All – Alkaline

10. Best Place pon Earth – Vybz Kartel

International

This song is full of shade for the one and only, Zayn Malik, ex member of boyband One Direction. Apparently Zayn left Little Mix member, Perrie, for his current girl, Gigi Hadid. Clearly Perrie’s not happy about the situation. The good news though, is that this song is highly relatable for anyone who’s ever broken up with somebody.

Coming from Cashmere cat’s new album

There are two versions to this song, one with Kendrick and one without. The version without Kendrick’s verse, however, tend to fall a little flat. This song is about how the persona’s girlfriend is moving on and he doesn’t want to know because he’s not yet over her.

Kranium, the Atlantic Records signee and singjay who brought you

This song is fresh off her brand new album titled

Atlantis – Bridgit Mendler ft Kaiydo

7. Zaddy – Ty Dolla $ign

8. Body Moves – DNCE

9. Believer – Major Lazer & Showtek

10.   Kill For You – Skylar Grey ft Eminem
