Suga Roy honours the kings
November 4 is the official release date for Honouring The Kings of Reggae, a tribute album produced by deejay Suga Roy.
The 19-song set includes covers of classic reggae songs such as Shantytown by Desmond Dekker and Marley’s So Much Trouble.
The latter is done as Trouble by Suga Roy, Sizzla, Jahmali, Conrad Crystal, and Zareb.
“Is my favourite Marley song; anywhere in the world mi go mi perform it,” said Suga Roy.
The House of Riddim Band from Austria, drummer Kirk Bennett, guitarist Winston ‘Bo Pee’ Bowen, and bassist Danny Dennis of the Firehouse Crew played on Trouble.
Shantytown which featured Suga Roy, Busy Signal, Zareb and Conroy Crystal, did well for Suga Roy’s Fireball Records last year.
‘Honouring’ also includes covers of Johnny Nash’s
I Can See Clearly Now done by Terry Linen and Culture’sJah Jah See Them by Gyptian.
