UPDATE: Police backtrack, third plane-crash victim alive
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The third victim in this afternoon’s plane crash, who was reported to have died at hospital, is in fact alive, but in critical condition.
Earlier, the police told OBSERVER ONLINE that two people died at the scene close to the Tinson Pen Aerodrome, and a third was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he succumbed.
However, chief medical officer in the Health Ministry, Dr Winston De la Haye, when contacted by OBSERVER ONLINE a short while ago, confirmed that the crash victim was still alive and will move to the Intensive Care Unit at the KPH. The police have also adjusted their report.
The names of the victims have not been released.
