#LocalGovt16: Outnumbered but PNP still hopeful in St Catherine West Central
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Although significantly smaller in number than their Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) counterparts People’s National Party (PNP) supporters still rallied behind their candidates vying for councillorship in St Catherine West Central.
One supporter, who stated that there needs to be a change in the constituency, says she is throwing her all behind PNP candidate for Point Hill Division Karl Grant.
PNP candidate for the Bellevue Division Janique McKenzie stated that she wants to provide proper representation for communities that “have been suffering under the JLP’s hand.”
The two other PNP candidates are Donovan Nathan who is going against current councillor Keith McCook for the Red Hills Division and Ralston Wilson, who is contesting for the Ginger Ridge division.
