Salut! In The Cellar!
Toasts were raised to honour of the proceedings. (Kenyon Hemans)

Salut! In The Cellar!

Monday marked the launch of the 2016 Salut! series at Cellar 8, Kingston 8’s newest watering hole. What better way to commence the week-long wine-appreciation celebration than to imbibe Caribbean Producers Jamaica (CPJ)-distributed Taittinger Champagne and Macallan 1824 series whisky? Add a range of wines and spirits – some specialty, some organic – a fabulous oyster bar and savoury hors d’oeuvres from the Cellar 8 kitchen, and you’re all set to wind down in a convivial space.

Formalities included a timely presentation by CPJ Trade Marketing Manager Mike Turner, who expressed his appreciation for fine wines, tapped into the selections for the evening with a brief history lesson, and highlighted all the reasons to Salut!

Cocktails and conversation continued until closing time, but not before Wednesday Social raised our stemware to a Salut!
