Video – Italy ‘Uncorked’ at Salut!

Day 2 of this year’s Jamaica Observer Salut! brought two Italian wineries to the forefront, last Tuesday, at Sovereign North’s Uncorked. Up for evaluation were picks from Masi Agricola and Santa Margherita, whose portfolios are managed on The Rock by the evening’s host, Select Brands.

The boutique distribution house popped a sparkling wine, the Santa Margherita Valdobbiadene Prosecco; two reds, the Masi Costasera Amarone Classico and Masi Campofiorin; and a duo of whites, the Masi Masianco Pinot Grigio & Verduzzo and Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio. Accompanying the vino was an antipasto spread laid out by the wine bar-cum-eatery as well as a special appetiser created by its Executive Chef Damion Stewart.

Thursday Social notes the oenophiles who gathered to view, swirl, sniff and taste what Lo Stivale had to offer.
