Long Running Train confirmed for Diamond Mile
There were some doubts and apprehension whether the talented American bred filly, Long Running Train would make an appearance in the Diamond Mile scheduled to be run on Saturday, December 10, 2016.
Now there is confirmation from the filly’s trainer, Ian Parsard that indeed Long Running Train will face the starter come Diamond Mile Day at Caymanas Park. The Diamond Mile is sponsored by the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission, Supreme Ventures Limited and Caymanas Track Limited. Associate sponsors are ISP Finance Limited, ATL Automotive Limited and the Jamaica Observer Limited.
“Long Running Train will occupy a starting gate position come December 10 when the Diamond Mile is run and of course we will be hoping for the best,” trainer Parsard indicated in an interview with the Complete Racing Guide yesterday.
Long Running Train worked on Wednesday morning galloping 1:30.0 for seven furlongs.
“She ( Long Running Train) did well at exercise on Wednesday morning.
“It was a good workout and hopefully she will continue in that vein going into the Diamond Mile.
“Right now it is a case of all systems go,” Parsard said.
