Stage show set to ‘Bounce’
ANNUAL stage show Galiday Bounce returns for an eighth-straight year to the Ewarton Sports Club in St Catherine on Friday, December 30.
According to event organiser, Galdiez Mendez, the show has matured over the years and this will be its biggest line-up yet.
“People are really talking about the event this year as some of the other major events have watered down. The line-up is exceptional, so I know that all roads will lead to Ewarton this month end,” he told
Jamaica Observer.
“I am [a] known figure in the streets and I try me best to live good with everyone. The artistes are always giving me the support so this has greatly contributed to the show’s growth,” he continued.
The event’s line-up includes Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Mavado, Busy Signal, Sizzla, Ninjaman, Aidonia, Ishawna, Jahmiel, K Queens, Masicka, Chino, Stephen Di Genius, Kippo, Raine Seville, Chase Cross, Iyara, Iba Mahr, Flexx, Macka Diamond, D’Angel, Star Face and Chuck Fenda.
“Patrons can come out in their numbers as parking facilities will be very much secure. As always, we will be seeking to protect our brand, our sponsors, our patrons and the media with the help of the Ewarton police, alongside our private security. Therefore, we are warning the car thieves to just stay away from that event,” said Mendez.
They will backed by Ruff Kutt Band and will feature music from sound systems including Stone Love, Foota Hype, Troopa Traloopa, Ali Patch and Ricky Trooper.
Part proceeds from this year’s staging will go to the Johnson’s Basic School and the feeding of the homeless in Linstead and its environs.
