Ifa-tunde shows his Melanin
In anticipation of his album Melanin, British singer Ifa-tunde has released three songs: Hold And Strong, Melanin , and Each And Everyday. They are produced by Inner Circle singer Trevor ‘Skatta’ Bonnick.
Born in Camberwell, South London, Ifa-tunde grew up in Banbury, St Catherine, where he began writing songs. He learned to play saxophone, clarinet and flute at Alpha Boys’ School.
“I always enjoyed writing and singing songs, especially songs that are meaningful and have a solid message. I’m inspired when my work touches the minds and hearts of people from all over,” he said.
Returning to England in the late 1980s, Ifa-tunde began his entertainment career with the Mafia sound system. He later recorded for Youthman Promotions as Winston General alongside close friend Mikey General.
In 2004, he launched Orisha Music, which will release
Melanin early next year.
