UDC appoints new general manager
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Board of Directors of the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) has announced that Dr Damian Graham has assumed the post of general manager of the corporation as of Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
According to a UDC release, Dr Graham will lead the corporation in its charge to redevelop specific areas in downtown Kingston, including the waterfront, through the construction of various edifices; and advance the development of Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
In addition, he will focus on the continued development of other townships, geared towards spurring growth for the island.
The development of National Heroes Park, to include the Parliament building and complemented by a “Government Circle” on lands surrounding the park, will be one of Dr Graham’s priorities. He will also champion the mandate given by Prime Minister Andrew Holness, for the creation and the appropriate location of Jamaica’s third city, the UDC said.
