Woman hit by motorcyclist while crossing roadway, dies
HANOVER, Jamaica — A 51-year-old woman is now dead after she was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the Salt Spring main road in Hanover, yesterday.
She has been identified as Carmen James, otherwise called ‘Girlie’, of Green Island in the parish.
The motorcyclist was also injured in the crash.
Reports from the Green Island police are that about 10:00 am, James was walking across the roadway when the oncoming motorcycle hit her.
James and the motorcyclist were taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries while the driver was treated and released.
The police say investigations are continuing.
